My craft room is a mess, I’ve been on a bit of a roll card making wise, over the weekend, trying to get ahead with Birthday cards. Two cards on my cutter half finished, cant quite work out how to finish either of them, it very often happens to me, I start of with a great idea that fizzles out towards the end. Scissors that need cleaning after cutting glue and sticky bits and my Zyron machine that I keep forgetting I have!
I only have my glass mat free of mess, I’ve also been busy making a card for a challenge over on Splitcoaststampers, it was to use green and gold for Australia Day! Taxed my brain but I eventually made this card.
My original idea for an apron with a BBQ utensils ended when I realised I couldn’t cut them small enough besides the fact that they looked awful so that all went into the bin,
Apart from all that mayhem we’ve finished grouting the roof, regrouted all down the outside stairs of course then while cleaning up I spotted some tiles that needed doing, so that meant painting the wall where the grout went over the white wall, it’s like painting the Forth Bridge, never ending!
These pictures show out beach last Saturday morning, it was blowing a gale as you can see from the palm trees, we had quite big waves, nothing compared to Cornwall, CA or other surfing places but for here, well people were actually stopping to look as the water came right up to the Paseo wall further down the beach.
I might be slow visiting as the internet seems very slow today, would you believe our Post Office had no internet for four days from Friday last week so they couldn't weigh my packet to SF,
Have a great crafty week

Hi Jan, great take on the Australia day cards. I end up with many UFO's for the same reason, I run out of ideas before I've finished.!Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

Hi Jan - I hate sticky scissors too, and I can't even be bothered to clean them. I've been thinking of buying a Xyron - the machine is actually very cheap, but the cartridges can be expensive. I would probably end up like you though and forget to use it LOL! Thanks for your visit earlier - glad you were able to comment! zsuzsa #17
ReplyDeleteHi, Jan! Loved seeing your desk, and the other photos of your recent gale. Like you, I often begin a card, but then don't know how I want to proceed. It's fun creating as I go! thanks for your sweet comment on my blog about G+. hugs, de
ReplyDeleteThe Australian celebration card looks good Jan. Sometimes the best ideas don't work when you try them out (I hate it when that happens too). Hope you find it easier to comment on my blog now. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Nice card and lovely photos too. When I get stuck with ideas to finish cards I find it easier to put them on one side and start something else and suddenly the ideas come back. Have a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x12x

I, too, know how it is to start something and somewhere in the middle of the process I get stuck... I do like the green and gold card, I find that a difficult combination and you made it work beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, happy ~ belated ~ woyww. ReplyDeleteWe have storm Erik (think that is how it was spelled) here at the moment but so far it is not as bad in the north as it is in the south. Yours looks quite3 wild and windy and the poor palm tree is certainly taking a battering.
ReplyDeleteAs my family are in Oz I should have been making cards for them - oh heck, maybe next year.
Hugs, Neet xx
Dear Jan, well I’m very very very late! I’m puzzling here why they need internet to weight things though, what’s wrong with scales on desk top and stamps and put in post bag? Can still do that here .. 😁
ReplyDeleteWe’ve had really big seas ....and very deadly too as a lad was carried out to sea, on Thursday, he wasn’t swimming between flags or in a safe place, a visitor.
We’ve had five deaths this summer pretty bad really. Message just doesn’t seem to get out.
We have been swimming but only in safe spots on incoming tide, or where they are patrolled by life savers.
I usually have no clear ideas with cards, just work my way though them. Pinterest is big help though when stuck.
Happy very belated WOYWW.
