My storage of Christmas items, my motto of never throw a box or plastic container away does have its good moments, I hate to admit that this is only a small selection, I have a complete drawer of Christmas items, papers etc but at least I know I only have them stored in one place when it's that time of year, I'm always surprised when I open the drawer to find some goodies I bought in summer and just threw in the drawer!
This is one of our beaches, from the end where we park, some may have seen this yesterday over at T for Tuesday. The other end is the start of the Marina, the boats are on the other side, there are several restaurants actually on the marina where you can sit at the waters edge to eat, the water is very shallow for quite a way out so very safe for children and as you can see very calm, and warm, like bath water! Our GSs love it as they live right on the Pacific Ocean but wear wet suits in summer to swim it's so cold!
The holidaymakers are gradually getting fewer so our morning walks along here are getting back to normal, no more fighting for a seat in the shade for our coffee, wonderful!
Thank you to all who left comments last week, it was lovely to see everyone again, sorry to say although I did visit lots of desks I didn't manage to comment on many, not sure if our WIFI was playing up or my ipad, hopefully I can do better this week.
Happy WOYWW, have a great week
Jan x
Your waterfront looks beautiful - glad it is getting quieter now and easier for you to sit and enjoy your coffee there.
ReplyDeleteJust love your church window cards, so classical - they are really beautiful.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
I really like your idea about paper piecing that window die to make stained glass Jan. The Poinsettias look lovely with it. Lets hope the weather is good enough to sit out and enjoy your coffee now that the holiday makers are thinning out. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #18
ReplyDeleteChristmas?! You are so organised. The window die is beautiful. Happy woyww

Wow, I LOVE that poinsettia card, it's so elegant and stylish - that's the one I'd buy in the shops! Though it does seem ironic making it in that heat 😊

Hi Jan, loving that Christmas card. So much, in fact, I just went to the Design store for Silhouette, to find a window cutting file like that! The waterfront looks amazing, what a fab place to have nearby. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteAfyernoon Jan - My comments keep disappearing into the ether - so "if at first you don't succeed..." The arched window card is so lovely - I do hope you will find you use that gorgeous die lots now! That waterfront is a beautiful place to walk each day - glorious!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Wow, those cards look great so far. I can only imagine how beautiful they will look with the "stained glass" windows. Very pretty. Have a wonderful week. Dorlene #31
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be doing Christmas cards in the heat... something to do with being northern hemisphere I guess... just wrong! great cards though Helen #1
ReplyDeleteGorgeous window cards - so pretty! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Caro x (#35)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to make stained glass windows, but I bet it is tedious as I did that with my angel die cuts that a friend let me use her die. And if you are melting up there! Hard work! I am saving my Maine photos for the Tuesday posts. I took a lot of food and drink photos. It should get me through quite a few Tuesday’s! LOL. Thanks for stopping by and missing me :). #33
ReplyDeleteThose Christmas cards are lovely, great view too. I can tell you that you're not the only one that collects plastic boxes, they are so useful. Have a fun woyww and hugs, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteLove the views - your desk and the beach!! It's hard to get in the Christmas spirit when its so hot, but I love that window die. Thank you for your earlier visit, I'm way behind as I had some visitors today. Happy Wednesday, Cindy #23
ReplyDeleteThe card is stunning g. How lucky are you yo live there. Thanks for popping by. Anne x #15
ReplyDeleteHere, too, the tourist crowd thinnens... it's lovely to have 'your own place' back for yourself isn't it?! I always love the busy-ness during the Summer but I welcome September when everything turns back to normal. After painting (the lilac case) my beloved and I spend some quality time last week going for walks and such so I'm pretty late with my visit, it's almost weekend already! Enjoy, enjoy. Love from the Netherlands. Marit #20
ReplyDeleteooh lovely view and great card too.
