I have been having some time in my craft room but haven't really felt like crafting so I decided to have a tidy up.
I had some magnets left over so decided to put them up the shelf struts that are metal so I could hang my metal tins on them, when they are stacked on the shelf I tend to forget what's in them.
I spent a couple of hours changing bits and pieces that I thought I might use more into the tins and generally tidying, I must admit I'm quite happy with how it looks, you can see that I collect tins, boxes, well most things really, can't ever seem to throw them away!
Well I was so pleased with myself I went downstairs to make our afternoon cuppa and thought I would tell DH all about it, I should have realised when his eyes glazed over that I should stop but at the end of my tale he just looked at me and said, well Jan, now let me tell you all about how I've organised my new plastic boxes in my tool shed!!! so I had to sit while he told me how he put screws in one, bolts in another and oh what a debate he had deciding where to put the cable ties, sarcastic or what! LOL,
This is the card I made using my brushos and stamps I haven't used for years, I was going for Less is More.
I find it hard but I'm quite pleased with the finished card.
It looks quite dull but the brusho I used was blackcurrant but looks lilac, I did dab quite a lot of colour off so maybe that's why, the BG card is a pale Lilac/blue.
A Z-fold card I made for our son, he's a car fanatic so this paper that I've had for a long time is ideal. The BG card I've had in the drawer for years but could never find papers to match! A failing of mine that I see card I like the colour of but then can't find anything to go with it.
Well that's my desk for another week, not much going on until we finish our jobs around the place, many thanks to everyone who took the time to visit and leave a lovely comment, it's much appreciated. Have a great week

Hi Jan, your story with Hubby made me laugh! Great job on the cards. Brusho's are so unpredictable, aren't they. I think it looks great.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for using the magnets and tins on the metal struts. The organised space looks great... had to laugh at your story with your hubby! Your cards are lovely, especially the brusho's one. Thanks for sharing. Have a lovely week. Love and God Bless, Caro xx (#19)
ReplyDeleteWhat a very tidy desk you have. Thank you for your visit and kind comments. Just a thought that if you fancied another go at archment, the Groovi system would help you to produce beautiful work from the start. It is so easy and very addictive, but the ideal craft to tak o holiday, especially if you are in a posh hotel or B&B. xx Maggie #1 or#7
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh! I guess all organisation is good whether it's in the craft room or man cave, lol!! Each to their own, say I :-). I love that Less is More card, it's so elegant...I don't do fussy!

Hello from another house refurber! I love those tins on the struts.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh about his organising .... so typical!! When one collects and then finds a use for some of the collection it needs to be shouted about from the rooftops .... just saying! lol
Have a good week

ReplyDeleteLove the Brusho card Jan especially Jan. Those blank DVD boxes are great for stamp organisation aren't they. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
ReplyDeleteOh Lordy Jan, I understand about your hubby’s response...we do it to each other a lot...but it’s part of the ‘every hobby has it’s nerds’ thing isn’t it. I always tell him he should be grateful that I’m not trying to organise his stuff because my hobby gives me scope to organise my own! Love the brusho card, I have two tubs and am yet to try them...you give me incentive.
ReplyDeleteYou had me laughing with this blogpost, the respons of your hubby is priceless! I do love your card, it's kinda hard to create a 'minimalistic card' and yours turned out really beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, enjoy your week! Marit #22
