T is for Jetlagged

Firstly I’d like to thank you all for the lovely welcome back, it was lovely to join in again and read all the goings on around the world, thanks for your visits and kind comments, I think I managed to visit everyone but if I didn’t comment on your blog I apologise as there were a few that wouldn’t let me post my comment.
we have arrived in San Francisco, a long journey but so lovely to see the DGSs again, they did spend a month with us in Spain in July which was a really special time as we had all three DGSs altogether.
My son who works in London sent this photo, on his way to work he watched the Queen go past on her way to the State opening of Parliament, I must admit I’ve never seen this, a very splendid display of the royal carriage.
We had a ride over to our favourite breakfast place, The Copenhagen Cafe in Burlingame, we love it, usually we just have coffee and a Danish Pastry and watch the world go by but last week we treated ourselves to my favourite BLT, we only have one between us but you also get fresh fruit, we also had a coffee too, We were extra naughty and had a lemon curd Danish pastry, Between us, our favourite.
I must admit I haven’t tried anything else on the menu as we usually only have breakfast but it’s very popular and the food looks delicious, they also have a bakery next door, I can vouch for the Pastries!!
The view from outside isn’t very good, too many parked cars but they have seating outside.
The waitress actually took the photo for me of the Halloween decorations,
It’s taken me a week to get back into my blog, google blocked me out as I am signing in from a different location, good for security but frustrating when you can’t sign in! Well have a good week and T day Jan x

  7. Well, fancy meeting the queen on your way to work!
Yes, I have problems too signing in in a different country. Usually they send me a message on my phone and it is sorted in minutes.
Your breakfast looks very yummy. And oh, Danish pastries! I can vouch for those. We had the privilege of eating them in Denmark where they are even more delicious.
    Happy T-Day.
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  10. What a great photo of the queen's coach! I am so glad you finally got into your blog. That has happened to me, when I could do it from my iPad when we traveled. But, now I cannot post from my iPad, comments, or the blog! Blogger is so frustrating! Enjoy SF and your family! Happy T Day!

  11. There should be a way to ensure both access and security. It can be frustrating :( I enjoyed your photos, such fun to see the queen about her business. She's an inspiration in the art of keepin' on keepin' on :) Your breakfast choices look delicious. It'd take me a while to decide. Happy T Tuesday!

  12. Great photo of the Queen's carriage in procession, Jan. The pomp is impressive. Your meal sounds delicious. Hubby and I share meals like that quite often. Else, we end up taking half our meals home.

If my blog was one you had trouble with, you're required to give you e-mail but it's no visible to anyone else. It's a security measure to cut down on spam and disgusting comments.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  13. I got to see some of the Queen's comments to Parliament, so this was a rare treat for me.

I also love BLTs, even though I'm a vegetarian. There are times when bacon just calls my name, so I'm sure you enjoyed the meal with the fruit and coffee. Danish curd sounds wonderful, too, although I've never had it.

LOVE the Halloween decoration at the restaurant. Much better than the overall view. Thanks for sharing your trip to SF and The Copenhagen Cafe. It was also good to see the BLT and your coffee you shared with us for T this Tuesday.

BTW, I got locked out of my blog for nearly two weeks, so had to start a new one about six months ago. I feel your pain.

  14. What a fun coincidence the Queen in her carriage and I posted about a castle fit for a queen. BLTs are yummy, but the pastries sound divine. Love the Halloween decorations. Happy T Day
