Another week of going through our photos, I did get distracted as I found a CD with photos from our time living in Germany, my husband was in the Army, it was lovely to look back, then I found a disc with family photos so as you can imagine I didn’t get much done, ha,ha, I’m still plodding on !
This week we had an Indian meal but we decided to try a different one, highly recommended by quite a few people, well not impressed! Funnily enough as we came out we bumped into a friend who was collecting a take away and he was raving about it, good job we all have different tastes.
Inside the restaurant, very clean, we chose to go early to avoid being there when or if it gets busy.
As you can see a good price and a few choices
Poppadoms and dips were extra, normally free while you have a look at the menu, not sure why this has gone sideways, not sure how to change it on here!!!
Well just awful, dry and no sign of any veg in there!!
Just tasted like breadcrumbs.
Lamb Rogan Josh, this was delicious, spicy but really tender, it did arrive in dishes but I had put it on my plate before I remembered to take the photo.
My DH had Fish curry, he said it was delicious.
Our drinks, empty, I realised I hadn't shown them in the other photos!!
This was on the wall, it's very glittery made with material and gold threads, I used to do a similar thing in my Art Class for my exams, not so intricate but made with materials.
I bought a pair of slippers and they gave me this bag, free of charge which surprised me as they charge for plastic bags nowadays, I thought it was cute, ha,ha
Unfortunately I can’t wear the slippers as they started the pain in the ball of my foot off again!
Not much to report here, I’m waiting for another memory stick so until it arrives I have gone back to making my photo album, for our youngest son this time, I wanted to get both albums to the same point just in case this is as far as I manage to finish!!
Happy T Day dear Ladies, Stay safe!
Jan x

Like you -- we also have an UNfavorite Indian restaurant that everyone else raves about! Too bad you were not happy with your meal,
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
The pictures of your food adventure are fun (especially the sideways one - lol) - too bad it wasn't fabulous but now you know. Happy T-day, Jan. HOpe you have a great week! Hugz
ReplyDeletesorry the meal did not live up to expectations-that happens sadly. and bummer about your new shoes too hugs Happy T
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you got my comment as this strange looking image popped up once I hit publish. So I will comment again in case you didn't get the first Jan. Sorry to hear the restaurant wasn't all you hoped for. I haven't had Indian food in a long time, so I enjoyed seeing your photos. I also mentioned about how trying out new restaurants can be risky, can't it? I've been trying to find a place for a dinner with friends in a couple of weeks, and I hate to bring them someplace that's not good. Anyhow, hope you are having a lovely T day and have a great week ahead too. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteToo bad the meal wasn't as good as expected. Haven't had Indian food in a long time except for a few veggie things I make myself. I have to be careful about the shoes and slippers I wear too- and it can be frustrating trying to find the right , comfortable ones. Better luck next time. happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThe one Indian place in Wichita has closed, but that is not unusual, because a lot of my favorite restaurants have closed because they can no longer keep their heads above water. I liked the murals in the restaurant, but I take it you weren't happy with most of the food you were served. Don't feel bad. I have occasionally forgotten to take a photo of my water, and when I look on my photos, there are no drinks in any of them. At least you got the glasses in the photo!
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your new slippers. It's a cute bag, though. Thanks for sharing your lunch and drinks with us, as well as your new bag for T this Tuesday, dear Jan.
I'm sorry that the Indian restaurant didn't live up to the expectations. Tastes are just different I guess.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of Indian food, sorry it wasn't what you expected. Also the slippers giving you pain. However, you did get a nice bag. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I´m sorry of that disappointment, I went through that, too. Once so bad we didn´t have to pay for my dish. Boy, was I hungry, LOL.
ReplyDeleteOK, I´ll rethink if I hire you as offcial photographer ;-) Thanks for the laugh - if we cannot laugh about ourselves... how sad would that be.
Ale-Hop, cute - sad you cannot wear them and do that.
Happy T-Day, if late!!! x
It looked like a nice place to eat. Sorry it you didn't like it.
ReplyDeleteI Think I'll have to add more food to my T Day posts! But we really aren't going anywhere...I guess taking photos of the food aisle in Tesco's doesn't count! Hubby's the one for cooking up some thing yummy...or some times...straight in the bin! Have a great week, stay safe Happy WOYWW? ((Lyn))#16
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Indian food but it is on my list. That is a bummer that some of it was dry but at least your lamb was good.
ReplyDeleteI can get caught for hours looking at old photos. It is a great reminder of the past and the memories.
Happy Belated Tea Day,
Kate
So fun to go through old photos. I recently connected with a distant cousin through Ancestry. I had some photos of relatives I didn't really know and the pictures weren't labeled. She's showing them to an aunt so I hope I get some answers. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteRogan Josh was always my go-to. I love going through old photos too. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteYum to Indian curries and food. Making me hungry lol. Good luck with sorting your photos out. Happy week. Hugs from Oz
