Happy T Day once again, thank you for your visits last week and kind comments, they are much appreciated.
Still chilling in the shade, funny in the summer we look forward to cooler weather and in the winter we look forward to Spring, when I was complaining last night about the heat my DH said he will remind me of that when I complain about having to clean the log fire every morning!
I’ve been reading a couple of books my DIL bought me for Christmas, one I really enjoyed, one of those books you can't put down, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, made me cry at the end , the second one The Red Lotus I’m struggling with, it’s not my kind of book but it is so heavy going I’m still debating if I should abandon it, something I don’t like to do.
Another meal we had at a Restaurant with our family, Restaurante Piccolo, very near to home, I only took photos of the starters, it was so busy that we had quite a wait even for the starters, so long that our GS had eaten most of the bread basket by the time his food arrived!
They offer a three course Menu including a drink for €20! They always have different dishes on the menu and always plenty to choose from.
Our son and DH had the Chilli Prawns,I’ve had this starter before and they are delicious,

Hey sweet, Jan. Looks like a good week! Fun to feed fish, and eat really fun food. The brie looks like a flower - so pretty. Always fun to get new books - my daughter lets me read all hers when she is done. LOVE the birthday card - very cool. Happy T-day and hugz
ReplyDeleteWow, Jan. Those prawns were stunning. That brie starter looked like a flower (I see Nancy wrote the same thing). That must be a high end restaurant because the starters were so beautifully created.
ReplyDeleteThe card to your son is darling. You turned that embossing folder into a very personal card. Personal cards are SO much more appreciated because you put thought into it. I'm sure "the king" thought so, too.
That bread is twice the size of the fish. They will be eating all day.
Yes, Jan. Bottles at the bar are drinks, so of course they are acceptable. Thanks for sharing your starters, the card, the fish, and your visit to the local restaurant for drinks with us for T this Tuesday, dear.
Your food photos are appetizing, but I really like your composition with the 4 empty chairs and one hat!
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
The food looks sooo good, and I love the hat :) Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteYour food looks so yummy, especially
ReplyDeleteSince it is just about lunch time here as I write this. . 😀. The brie looks and sounds delicious. I hope it doesn’t stay so hot for you Jan. We’re having a lovely day ,but once again more rain is forecast for later this week. Have a great T day. Hugs Erika
Yummy food! I will be happy when it cools off here, I am not a hot fan, but I wish you happy T Day! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful interlude visiting you like this! Thank you and Aloha!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I had to laugh at your son calling himself King Ding a ling. It's just that I remember a song by Chuck Berry called My Ding a ling. The lyrics are rather naughty : "I want you to play with my ding a ling".
ReplyDeleteYour food looks absolutely delicious. That is a rather posh Menu del DÍa.
Hugs,
Lisca
The food looks so good. I agree with Lisca about the sond by Chuck Berry. Have a very nice day today.
ReplyDeleteBrie surprise for me! Both dishes look good though . Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
