T is for Tuesday

Hello Ladies, we’ve had a quieter week this week, no more Birthdays until next year!
My drink related post this week to join the T party is from Macy’s Cheesecake Factory in Union Square, San Francisco. We decided to treat ourselves to a slice and a coffee. We leave the car at S.F Zoo and travel into the city by Muni, we love to people watch, I must admit the new trains are awful, they are side seats, they aren’t long enough, comfy for two but when three squash on it’s just too close for comfort!!!
Steve chose the Mango and coconut.
I chose the White Chocolate and Raspberry, they were both delicious, rather too much cream for me so I had to leave most of it, we shared them and had a Latte as you can see, I also had a chilled water.
So many to choose from as you can see!
Union Square is getting ready for winter, they are getting the ice rink ready, we went a few years back with the GSs when we came over for Christmas, I didn’t venture on the ice but DIL did with our GSs, I haven’t been skating since I was about 18 so decided not to show my skating skills of mainly clinging to the side walls, LOL
Our son and DIL took us out last Friday night, because we were still looking after Chloe the dog who can’t be left apparently we had to eat outside, in summer it would make a lovely place to eat but on a foggy evening, well it was quite cold, the meal was lovely when it finally arrived, our DIL ordered a mixed starter to share but our fish and fries arrived before the starters, they bought out three drinks and it was halfway through the meal before they came out with our DILs wine! The good thing was that the fish and fries were delicious but they seriously need to sort themselves out!
We are off on a road trip tomorrow with our son, we are driving to Las Vegas, he has taken a few days off work to go with us, we are only going for few days but he has booked a meal at a famous steakhouse so hopefully I will have some photos next week. We have been before but we are staying at the Venetian Hotel this time so I’m quite excited!

  2. Sounds like you are having fun. Those cakes look delicious, so yummy! The trams here have very uncomfortable seats, too narrow, and no place to stretch your legs! And if you have to stand it's even worse! Happy T Day, Valerie

  3. Oh, I hate having strangers close!

:-) Yes, I think last time I was on skates was 17 years ago and I had to cling on to two colleagues!!
Gone are the days where I felt safe on roller skates or a skateboard!

I always wonder how they can mess up bringing drinks in time! Or bringing meals at different times - I go to a professional chef/team to avoid just that, right.

Have a lot of fun on that roadtrip!!! Happy T-Day, too.

  4. I don't like sitting close with strangers either. The dessert looks delicious. The ice rink looks like fun, but I think I'd be hesitant to go out there, since I haven't gone skating for a long time. Have fun in Las Vegas! Happy T-Day!

  6. Wow, that cheesecake looks so delicious! They sure have a lot of desserts to chose from too 😀. It must be amazing to ice skate in Union Square over the holidays! Wishing you a happy T Day and have a wonderful time in Vegas, happy travels! Hugs, Jo x

  8. I've also eaten at the Cheesecake Factory, and it is amazing and delicious. Much better than the cheesecake I make. There were certainly a lot of choices, at least from your photos.

I went to an ice rink last year when the youngsters were here (my friends who now live in CA). I hugged the walls, but DID get on skates and surprisingly didn't fall.

Now you know why I drive everywhere. I just don't care for sharing space.

I also stayed at the Venetian. Be sure to check out St. Mark’s Square and take a gondola ride. Well worth the cost (and it's romantic, too). There was a couple in the gondola in front of mine who were getting married while in the gondola. The minister was doing his best to stay upright (grin).

Thanks for sharing your trip to the Cheesecake Factory, the ice rink photo, and your wonderful food and drinks from the Cheesecake Factory with us for T this Tuesday.

  9. Cheesecake Factory - yum.

I haven't been on ice skates since I was a teen either. It was fun then; it would be downright dangerous now 😉

Have fun in Las Vegas! I've never been. We went to Atlantic City a couple of times when we lived in New Jersey.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  10. That cheesecake does look delicious! I'd give a lot for usable public transportation, so any kind of rail service would be a step up here. We do have a bus service but it's extremely limited *sigh*

How odd that the service for your meal was so confused. Backwards. They must be training new staff, or at least I _hope_ that's what it was... Happy T Tuesday!

  12. Oh I love the Cheesecake factory. I am glad there isn't any near me or I might visit way too often. All these slices look delicious and I am glad you shared them with us so I can dream a little bit. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika

  13. The cheesecake factory sounds just the ticket. I would have loved that. Your cheesecake looks absolutely divine! I'm sure it was all worth it in the end. (the train ride I mean)(I'm assuming the Muni is a train or tram line...)
I'm looking forward to your photos of Las Vegas. I have been there myself and found it very entertaining. Have fun!
I would be interested in any tips you can give me re commenting on an iPad. I have not been able to successfully do that yet.
Sorry for being so late again. I'm never home on Tuesday and Wednesday is a very busy day, so usually I don't get to comment until Wednesday evening.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca
