Happy T Day Ladies, hope you are all keeping well.
We really had a cold weekend, we did have rain Thursday night and Friday but not as much as they said and non on Saturday but it was cold, as you can see from the photo below, we had snow on the Sierra Espuna again.
We had to have the log fire going again as our villa is really are cold in the winter if we don't have any sun, they are obviously built to keep cool in summer
We've still been walking and having breakfast on the Marina, it's been busy this weekend with Fathers Day being Friday but it's quiet again now although we did see our friends Maria and Patrice who were down for the weekend from Murcia.
Not such a pretty view when the weather isn't bright and sunny but I love coming this way as the view is beautiful as you drive down the hill.
This is the traffic island, it has a full size boat on it and made to look as if it's on the sea, the Spanish do love blue paint as you can see the junction is also painted!!
We decided to try a different Cafe last week, just for a change, as you can see they managed to burn the toast, there wasn't any soft part in the middle either, we were the only people there so no excuse, needless to say we won't be going back. I know we should have complained but I really hate having to do that.
I can say the coffee was good and my drink for this weeks T party.
The best part at the Cafe, the views.
Apart from carrying on with my photo journal I made a couple of cards for my stash, I saw this design on Pinterest and as my son sent me a Daisy Die at Christmas with some other crafty bits and pieces I thought I would finally use it.
I also had plenty of black and white papers in my stash so finally used those too.
Sorry nothing too exciting to report but at least we are allowed to walk now and the sun is out again, hopefully Spring is on it's way.
Thank you once again to all my visitors last week, I enjoyed reading your lovely comments.
Keep Safe Everyone
Jan x

You seem to have such beautiful views of water and mountains! I can only guess exactly where you are, but I have been to Murcia and Alicante, so I have some idea.

Glad you could get out and enjoy your beautiful views again. Love the card you made! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSorry, you made me laugh with "managed to burn the toast"... my (Baby)-Brother once put a "light and cross" in the toaster and off it went, burning. You can´t get cross crosser, can you.
ReplyDeleteThe b/w is great, have a happy T-day.
Those mountains do look cold but beautiful Jan. I like how you can see them, and still be near the ocean. It is pretty bad if you were the only guests and they burnt toast. I am surprised they didn't retoast more. I don't like to complain either but that one maybe I would. I can see if they overcooked or under cooked some meat, that cost them more money than toast. Well maybe that is how the cook liked their toast. And you are right, it is a nice view. Hope you are having a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely looking drive and place to visit. Yes, the cafe view is beautiful! Too bad about the burnt toast though.
ReplyDeleteLove your black and white card- a beautiful composition. Enjoy, and happy T day!
Beautiful area that you live. I like the palm trees and the blue paint. You have lovely views from your cafes.
ReplyDeleteBummer about burnt toast. I too hate to complain but when you are paying for it, it should look like it does on the menu.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Yes, those views! Wonderful! I'm sorry the food didn't live up to the setting. Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful views and blue skies 😁. Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteYes nice days but cold makes for a hard spring. We have rain and more rain. I have to agree with others the views are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have been unable to get on the internet for over half a day. I was sick with despair. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. It wasn't my computer. My internet showed it was on. However, any blog I tried to visit, I got an error. FINALLY, I was able to load your blog without the dreaded error message.
ReplyDeleteIt LOOKS cold there. I am sure it would be cold in the mountains, even in the heat of summer. The view is beautiful, though.
That roundabout with the boat is unique. I was surprised to see it in your photo before I read about it. Clever and colorful way to landscape the roundabout, too.
You sound like Sally. She never complains. I would have said something, and she would have tried to hide in her seat (which is pretty hard because she's not a small person). Burnt is burnt. I would have asked for a replacement. Of course, if the coffee was good, that was probably worth it.
What an adorable card. Great new die, too. Thanks for sharing your card, your neighborhood views, your breakfast, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday. SO happy I didn't get an error message when I tried to visit you just now.
The scenery is beautiful and I love the boat in the traffic island. I'm also partial to blue so love all your photos with all the different shades of blue. Too bad about the burnt toast, but at least the coffee and the view were good. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteIt may not be very warm but those views are wonderful! The views from the Cafe were lovely - shame about the toast! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteJan, sorry I am sooooo late! Also sorry about your toast, but I love the view. Even not being able to do much, you get to enjoy views more than we do. I would sit on the beach or sit and look at it all the time! I miss cruising. :) Have a great weekend. Oh, and you know I love that card.
