T is for Free at Last
Hello ladies, I hope you are all safe and keeping well, thank you for all for your visits last week, it is much appreciated.
we are free at last to walk, only in our small area but at last we can leave the garden, we have been walking since Saturday, we walk five laps that is just under two miles.
A couple of photos showing parts of our walk. I don’t think some of you are familiar with traffic islands, I’ve ever seen one in CA, over here all have different things on them, handy when directing anyone, some have boats, sails, one has a tractor!!! Ours on the Urbanización only have palm trees and cacti normally.
Those are the nearest houses from our poligono.
We are surrounded by the mountains, I love to see them.
An outside view of our villa, my craft room is the room at the top with the solar water panels, notice the giant satellite dish, that’s the only way we can get English TV.
The pool is now warm enough to swim in, Steve took my photo to prove to the family that I had actually been in. I’ve been starting with twenty lengths, hopefully with walking and swimming I might loose some weight from sitting around so much.
It doesn't help being naughty and having Bacon, mushroom and tomatoe cobs for breakfast, they were delicious though!
Our Grandson made his scones and they look delicious.
A card I made from a stamped image I found while I was tidying, I just lightly coloured it and added it to a card, I didn’t want to use to many colours to clash with the BG, also colouring is not my strong point! it’s also my T related photo for today.
Apart from that I haven't much to report, not much happening really, might be exciting next Wednesday as our car has to be taken for it's first service, the garage emailed to say we can book it in so we will drop it off and walk around the beach area, it will be interesting to see what is going on outside of our urbanizacion .
Hope you have all had a more interesting week, stay safe
Jan x

Lovely photos and your food looks delicious. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteWe call them traffic circles here in New Hampshire. and we have them, but most are small. It is all the new road construction rage here. But maybe the middle is called a traffic island, I don't know. But most of all, hurrah for you to be able to get out again and walk!!!! I can image your happiness. And your breakfast looks yummy-is that butter or cream on your grandson's scone? Have a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are free at last - enjoy! Love the card - I have the same stamp here! The food and scones look amazingly delicious, too! Have a good week! Happy T day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you can finally get out for a bit of walking, even if it is in your neighborhood. I LOVE those palm trees. Yes, I have a love affair with them, probably because they don't grow here.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast sure looks good and your GS's scones are lovely.
Isn't it great when you find things after a good cleaning? How lovely is that card. I thin you did a GREAT job with the coloring. It's beautiful and a perfect entry for T this Tuesday, dear Jan. Stay safe, especially on your walks.
I enjoyed your walk views-that is awesome to be able to see the mountains-back in the late '70s I lived in the state of Colorado in Denver surrounded by Mountains-I missed them so much when I left
ReplyDeleteyour breakfast looks delicious! beautiful card-Happy T hugs Kathy
Good that you can get out to walk a little further than your own yard. Breakfast followed by that awesome scone looks delicious and the card you made is very cute. Take care and Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteYay to being able to go out for walks!Your area looks so beautiful.Traffic circles are not a thing around us but I am very familiar with them all over Europe. I am so thankful we haven't been so restricted and have been able to go out since the Covid 19 quarantines began around the world. But we must keep distance. How nice to have your pool open to be able to use again.
ReplyDeleteYour cob and scone look so yummy-and I'd eat them too but would make myself take a good walk afterwards:):)
Sweet card and stamp image.
Happy T day!
Here they call the traffic islands: gloriettas (the official name is rotonda or something)
ReplyDeleteNice to see some photos of your surroundings. And sooo good that you can now go out! I am amazed that the garages have opened too. I didn't know that.
Bacon butty? Yes, please. And I'll have a scone too.
What a lovely card. I love that stamp with the ladies having a drink. I just wish we could do that. Perhaps soon.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

I enjoyed seeing what it's like where you live -so different from here. The mountains make a great view. The food looks delicious :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThat card sums up our lock down pretty well, minus the friend. In our case it is family across the table. Your area looks lovely! We live in the mountains as well and I have to say, there is nothing like a mountain view. I prefer to an ocean view. So glad that you are able to be out and about walking again.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate

The views in your neighborhood are beautiful, Jan! Just lovely. I'm longing to get out the house for other than essentials like fresh food and medicine. Cute card and it's just perfect for T.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Eileen xx
Your card is wonderful Jan !! Great image of the two ladies sitting at a cafetería :) and chatting. And happy to see your photographs of your walks where you live. We can go out for a walk at least, here, they want to go directly to Fase 1, I don´t want, we have to be responsable, if not, we´ll see more onfections and deaths. .
ReplyDeleteOh Your meals look delicious, I usually eat tostadas for breakfast, very good too. Wish you spent a lovely T-day.
I wish you a nice evening, stay safe and big hugs
Caty
So pleased that you can go for longer walks! It must be lovely seeing the mountains from your villa! Your breakfast does look so delicious and as for the scones - looks as though there's potential there! What next I wonder? A very belated Happy T day! Chrisx
