Happy WOYWW, hope all you fellow deskers are keeping well, warm and dry.
We've had some mixed weather here, cool starts, very cloudy but by lunchtime the sun is out and it's been lovely and warm, of course the only cold evenings we've had have been Sundays,(football)  last Sunday I had to break out my padded long coat, used at the most three evenings per year but the wind was so cold, we even took some soup, homemade Butternut Squash, for half time.

Before I show you my desk, I happened to read Julia's post about notebooks last week, well I love them too and judging from the comments so do quite a few of you so I thought I would show my small collection. I can never pass one without wondering what I could use it for, I bought one in Joann's last year, lovely cover with bowls and wooden spoons on the front, I thought it was a recipe book, why that would tempt me when I very rarely do the cooking is the question Steve asked but I couldn't resist it,  you know how they put dollar bits and bobs right along where you wait in line to pay, gets me every time.

I have a few as you can see, the two last items are my Tim Holtz stamps, still waiting for me to buy the case to store them in and my Clarity Stencil Case which is great for storing the small stencils in.
The Zyron machine is something I always wanted!!!
I've only used it a couple of times for tiny items so thank goodness I didn't splurge on the big one!

This one I really like as it was a gift, along with lots of other things from our DIL's Aunt when we went over to meet them for the first time in Poland three years ago, I haven't used it yet as I don't want to spoil it, LOL,
The others are a very old address book,  birthday book, jotter and a journal.

Not too much happening here on my desk, just printed some decoupage House Mouse images for a Birthday card, I had to put all the La Pashe sheets into a plastic folder, just showing beneath, I got a bit carried away so they are ready and waiting to be fussy cut when the mood takes me.

That's me for this week, Happy WOYWW and thanks for all your lovely comments, they are much appreciated.

Sounds crazy I know but last week I totally forgot it was Wednesday!
Kelly mentioned WOYWW and I was just going to ask why she had posted a day early! This can easily happen when you are retired, anything can do it, anyway I've made it this week, I started this yesterday just to make sure.

Searching for ideas for DIL's card I happened upon the La Pashe CD that I'm embarrassed to admit I've had for a number of years, then decided that seeing as I hadn't used any of the decoupage prints I would print out a few things while it was in my mind, trouble is I've been jumping from one card to another instead of concentrating on the ones that are needed first.

This is DIL's card, I made a pop up card as I had already cut the base in the pink.
I made the BG 3D too by printing two backing sheets and cutting bits out of it, a bit hard to see. The front DP is Penny Black, CoCo style.

My desks are messy, this area I had tidied up so I could find all the decoupage pieces I had already cut out, the pile of card are the La Pashe prints that I'm planning on using for birthday cards for next few months birthdays. I also made DIL no 2's card, you can just see it at the front of the desk, slightly different, no chance of them comparing notes though seeing as they live a few thousand miles apart!!

I've managed another page of my Scrapbook but I still haven't gotten around to putting the picture frames up, must do it as eldest Son is over for a visit in three weeks, I have made sure there's an even number of each of them, they always check!!
Just had the latest scan of our much awaited new Grandson, eldest just rang to give us an update, apparently everything is going well so we are all looking forward to his arrival in May.

Apart from that there's not much else happening here, had high winds over the weekend, made the football match interesting, and quite cold sitting watching, for the first time ever I wimped out ten minutes before the end when it started raining as well, made a dash for the car.
Weather today is sunny but apparently is is going to get  a little cooler for a few days, we won't complain after seeing some of the storms in England and other parts though.

Take Care and Have a great week.

Here we are again, why are we always surprised that another week has flown by, who said being retired would be boring!

This was our view as we were eating our lunch yesterday, decided to treat ourselves after Steves Cardiology appointment, good news is that his blood results were excellent and his heart is functioning good although the joke about having the heart like a Ferrari and the body of a Model T Ford was lost on the doctor!! I never know why Steve tries his humour out at times like this, goes down like a lead balloon! Although after a few minutes of trying to explain the doctor suddenly said, ah Alonso?
The not so good news is that one valve isn't closing as it should, my heart sank when he said it may mean another op, then he said, well maybe in five years, whew, I quickly asked if flying was ok, he said of course, that's good seeing we already have three trips booked, would hate to have to leave Steve at home!!!! LOL

My desk, I've just been finding pink card to make a start on DIL's birthday card, it isn't until next month but I have to get my brain in gear, I've been looking on Pinterest for ideas, saw a good pop up card about eating chocolate, sounds like Jennie so mulling that idea over, I might even use the Julia Nutting stamp at long last!!

Finally finished my scrap page, only took me a month!! now I have to think about the next one, I just hope after all this they look at it more often than we look at our photo albums!
I do love my digital photo frame though that DS1 bought for me a few years ago, at least I see the photos and can change them quite easily, unlike the two frames you may remember me mentioning, I have actually finished them but having gotten round to hanging them yet.

Well that's me done for this week, thanks so much for all your lovely comments last week, hope you all have more interesting things on your desks than mine has.
